Bield

I was talking with a friend, and colleague, yesterday about going over to view the manse at Auchterless.  He told me about the Bield.  A retreatant who has recently stayed at The Sanctuary also mentioned the place.

This sounds interesting and is in the same vein as some of the conversations we have been having.
Residential side much larger than we have in mind I guess but the language used, provision and ethos seem similar to things we have voiced.
Perhaps we will go and sound it out on the way up north next time or all go down for a look next time we are up?

Thanks for this. S is going there on retreat as part of his birthday present in a couple of weeks! Please go and look when you are next up this way. It will help to hear as many perspectives as possible.

I had a great conversation last night with an old friend from my school days who has been up here and is proving a valuable help in asking questions about community from a therapeutic and purely pragmatic perspective. I am going to try and encourage her to blog - but she has some assignments to do just now and the teacher in me feels that's the priority. Good to hear from you on this wavelength too.
