The heat is incredible and has left us all lying in whichever place we find coolest. I get in a real pickle when it is this hot. My mum had a skin condition which meant it was impossible for her to sweat I seem to have inherited it partially and so my body feels as though internal combustion is taking place! I just can't get cool let alone comfortable.
My back has finally completely gone. I decided to try what they say on all the TV programmes about getting fit - and work on through my pain barrier. I managed to get about a third of the kitchen cleaned before I was in considerable pain. The carrying on was the mistake; I can hardly move now. I look like an old lady moving around clutching at furniture, sitting down at every opportunity! The medication is great but I then lose the day asleep! I am fed up with looking at all the things I can't physically do - it's giving me the pip. I know my back will get better - but for now it is literally a pain.
The Firth is surprisingly clear of waterfowl, I guess they are all snoozing.
I've started the sketches for the magician compositions. I will really enjpy doing these.
Tabatha - the 12 week puppy has just discovered that if you put both feet on the rim of the water bowl you can make a big puddle which is cool to lie in. Now why didn't I think of that?
